Course Overview

The journey to become a Master Clinician begins with passion for caring for patients and developing the knowledge and skills to become an expert diagnostician. Our symposium’s key topics, expert faculty, and flexible format ensure a highly valuable experience that will move you forward towards your goal of becoming a Master Clinician.

Our faculty consists of national and international leaders in their fields and our sessions have been designed to provide highly relevant material in a concise and stimulating format.

Our workshops provide participants with a choice of three tracks in which to gain expertise. Concentrate in one track to develop expertise or mix-and-match tracks to experience a variety of topics: Hospitalist Generalist, Hospitalist Specialist and Enhancing Quality & Value. 

Provided by NYACP Optional: Earn Up to 10 ABIM MOC Self Evaluation Points. 
Objectives
  1. - Manage patients with acute CHF who are at risk for or develop acute kidney injury
  2. - Recognize and manage mild, moderate, and life-threatening allergic reactions
  3. - Treat patients with pain syndromes with effective regimens that minimize adverse effects
  4. - Apply best practices to provide optimal care and avoid readmissions for patients hospitalized with COPD
  5. - Interpret ECG and CXR to improve the timeliness and quality of medical management
  6. - Manage patients with dementia and delirium who develop agitation
