Course Overview

Primary care is growing increasingly more difficult due to the complexity of the patient’s medical condition coupled with advances in clinical management. This course is geared to help providers practice evidence-based medicine from today’s scientific literature.

The goal of this course is to offer providers of primary care services with updates in clinical therapeutic guidelines, and highlights of recent advances in the practice of Internal Medicine.

  1. Identify new trends in US healthcare that will allow healthcare providers to practice using up-to-date recommended guidelines.
  2. Identify current therapeutic options for specific disorders commonly seen in practice and apply when appropriate.
  3. Review and interpret up-to-date literature relevant to clinical practice in various therapeutic areas.
