The RMTI multidisciplinary team meets one to two times weekly to discuss the best care plan for patients who are in the pre-transplant phase and those recovering from liver transplantation surgery, as well as patients who are hospitalized on the Liver Transplant/Medicine Service. In addition, each case undergoes a thorough evaluation to examine viable options before the patient can be placed on the liver transplant UNOS waiting list. Additionally, we discuss patient deaths, complications and post-surgical readmissions at biweekly Mortality and Morbidity conferences. On a monthly basis, we discuss the radiological studies of complex patients that are discussed at our other shared and multidisciplinary conferences with Interventional Radiology.
