Course Overview
The Harold C. Neu IDSNY Symposium showcases advances in infectious diseases through expert-led scientific updates and case-based discussions. This year’s symposium will focus on Infection Prevention and Infections in the Immunocompromised Host. It brings together New York and Norther NJ clinicians, researchers, and trainees to learn more about advances in emerging pathogens, diagnostic innovations, and evolving treatment strategies.

Objectives
  1. Describe the role of local and regional public health systems in the detection, surveillance, and response to emerging and re-emerging pathogens, including contributions to vaccination strategies, outbreak control, and coordination with healthcare providers.
  2. Describe infectious disease considerations in xenotransplantation, including zoonotic transmission risks and screening strategies.
  3. Review recent updates for the management of Clostridiodes difficile infection including the role of microbiome-based treatments.
  4. Evaluate contemporary diagnostic approaches to bone and joint infections, including advances in molecular diagnostics.

 Cancellation Policy

All refund and cancellation requests must be emailed to the CME office at [email protected] by Friday, May 1, 2026. Cancellations after this date are not eligible for a refund. An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted from your refund. No refunds will be issued for registration fees that are equal to or less than $50.


Accreditation
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
