Cardiology Grand Rounds (MSM) 2026

Cardiology Grand Rounds is commonly run from September to June of each year. The selection of speakers and the raising of funds is a fellow driven process, which is coordinated by direct supervision from the Chief of Cardiology. The Cardiology Grand Rounds for the week before the AHA and ACC meetings is reserved for the presentation of fellows’ oral presentations and time permitting, selected posted presentations.

1. To identify data trends in heart failure by race and gender.
2. Describe the key anatomical and functional features of the mitral valve.
3. To identify factors driving heart failure disparities.
4. To identify solutions for closing gaps in heart failure care by race and gender with implementation science.
5. Recognize the spectrum of mitral valve disease presentations and Evaluate current interventional and surgical treatment strategies.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.50 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (1.50 hours)
