Course Overview
Weekly Grand Rounds for the Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology, bringing together faculty, fellows, and residents. The series features speakers from a range of multidisciplinary specialties across the Mount Sinai Health System, invited outside faculty, and educational presentations by housestaff on relevant clinical and academic topics.

Objectives
  1. Integrate updated guidelines by specialty societies to provide current and high quality evidence-based care to patients
  2. Assess gaps in clinical care and apply a strategy to optimize management of cardiac patients presenting for cardiac and noncardiac surgery.
  3. Describe evolving research as it pertains to the practice of cardiothoracic anesthesia.

Accreditation
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credits
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.50 hours), ABA MOCA Part 2 (1.50 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (1.50 hours)

It is the policy of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to ensure objectivity, balance, independence, transparency, and scientific rigor in all CME-provided educational activities.
