Standard departmental education activities are not specific to the practice of outpatient medicine. This series seeks to address these gaps by focusing on the specific aspects of the practice of medicine pertinent to ambulatory care. As a result of completing this educational activity, participants will be better able to: 1. Utilize recommendations and implement best practices from current clinical guidelines for ambulatory care practice across a variety of medical and surgical specialties. 2. Understand and implement guidelines and health system policies in ambulatory care. 3. Manage common escalations and complications of serving an ambulatory patient population.

1. Ambulatory providers would be able to apply the latest, most up-to-date standards and guidelines to a practice based situation in topics which are new and fast evolving.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (1.00 hours)

Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai adheres to the ACCME’s Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. Any individuals in a position to control the content of a CE activity, including faculty, planners, reviewers or others are required to disclose all relevant financial relationships with ineligible entities (commercial interests). All relevant conflicts of interest have been mitigated prior to the commencement of the activity.
