Course Overview
The sessions will cover intensive reviews of key endocrinology and endocrine surgery topics. In addition to basic and controversial topics in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pancreatic disorders, the sessions will focus on familial and neuroendocrine topics that are relevant to clinicians with an interest in endocrinology and endocrine surgery. Current trends in endocrinology and surgical techniques will be discussed with an emphasis in innovations in diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disease. At the end of each session a robust case presentation and panel discussion will take place that will allow for a high degree of dialogue between audience and faculty.

Objectives
  1. Demonstrate the ability to perform appropriate surgical techniques for thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, adrenalectomy, and neck dissections using anatomical landmarks and evidence-based protocols to minimize complications and improve surgical outcomes.
  2. Evaluate and implement best practices for the perioperative management of endocrine surgical procedures, including the identification of indications and contraindications, to enhance patient safety and optimize recovery.
  3. Apply evidence-based guidelines to preoperative risk assessment and surgical planning for thyroid and parathyroid disorders to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.
