Course Overview
The sessions will cover intensive reviews of key endocrinology and endocrine surgery topics. In addition to basic and controversial topics in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pancreatic disorders, the sessions will focus on familial and neuroendocrine topics that are relevant to clinicians with an interest in endocrinology and endocrine surgery. Current trends in endocrinology and surgical techniques will be discussed with an emphasis in innovations in diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disease. At the end of each session a robust case presentation and panel discussion will take place that will allow for a high degree of dialogue between audience and faculty.

Objectives
  1. Examine how to evaluate incidentally detected pathology
  2. Describe the management of functioning tumors to improve the outcomes of surgery
  3. Discuss pearls for improving outcome and minimizing surgical complications
  4. Improve the understanding of the link between cervical and abdominal endocrine pathology in familial conditions
  5. Discuss and evaluate 2015 American Thyroid Association (ATA) guidelines for the management of medullary carcinoma
