Course Overview
Weekly conferences on Leukemia, Myeloma, Lymphoma presenting interesting, complex, diagnostic or therapeutically challenging and educational cases. Presentation formats include clinical histories, radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology, molecular, cytogenomics, and therapy management discussions, with literature reviews. Audience includes medical students, residents, fellows, research scientists, nurses, physician assistants, and faculty to keep updated on latest classifications, and developments in the fields of Hematopathology, Hematology, Molecular, Cell-Based Medicine, Immunology, and ImmunoOncology.

Objectives
  1. Describe recent WHO updates for myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms
  2. Identify barriers and an action plan to increase appropriate molecular mutation testing for hematopoietic neoplasms, in particular, myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms
  3. To better explain to patients and how to appropriately manage patients with myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms
  4. To describe novel gene networks; to have an action plan to use available in house technology and testing for hematopoietic neoplasms, in particular plasma cell neoplasms, and how to appropriately manage these patients

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
