Course Overview
This conference will assemble multidisciplinary experts on chronic liver diseases, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) from the Mount Sinai Liver Cancer Program and two outstanding invited lecturers. The meeting is intended to provide a summary of the state-of the-art knowledge of the novel advancements reported in 2019 on the pathogenesis and clinical management of liver cancer, including the research conducted in Mount Sinai.


Objectives
  1. Understand the epidemiology and risk factors of liver cancer.
  2. Provide adequate clinical indications for the treatment of patients with liver cancer according to the most recent international guidelines.
  3. Understand the mechanism of action of novel targeted therapies and immune therapies coming for the management of these diseases.
  4. Analyze the prospects of novel therapies (combination therapies and radiation therapy) in the management of liver cancer

Accreditation
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
