Course Overview
This conference aims to be a collaborative effort with the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center and Healthfirst to provide pediatricians and providers the most up-to-date information and tools to care for adolescent health with a trauma informed approach.

Objectives
  1. Describe trauma-informed techniques when interviewing an adolescent patient.
  2. Understand the current approach to providing comprehensive care for LGBTQIA+ youth
  3. Identify approaches that support positive and safe sexual practices for all teens. Including up to date prescribing practices for long-acting contraception and family planning.
  4. Determine effective primary care approaches to adolescent mental health.

Accreditation
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
