Course Overview
Challenges in Internal Medicine is a three day course designed to summarize up-to-date clinical studies, and new guidelines that impact practice in general medicine. In addition, each day of the course will focus on identifying common therapeutic options for specific disorders commonly seen in the practice of general medicine.


Objectives
  1. Describe updates and advances in the treatment of Obesity, Cancer, Hypertension, Renal Disease, Liver Disease, and Cardiology.
  2. Summarize helpful pearls in Travel Medicine, Asthma, Anemia, Colorectal Cancer and approach to combating Obesity.
  3. Indicate new therapeutic modalities in Aging, Arthritis and Orthopedics
  4. Discuss clinical reasoning and interpretation of tests for common problems in Endocrinology, Rheumatology, and Signs of System Diseases in the skin.

Accreditation
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
