Course Overview
Provided by the Division of Gastroenterology and Division of Liver Disease. This internet live course is a web-based program with pre-recorded video lectures followed by four live stream panel discussions. Webinar Q&A with faculty experts to be held Mondays on Sept 13, Sept 20, Sept 27 and Oct 4, 2021


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. Identify the limits and parameters of current knowledge in a variety of gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders, in order to make informed recommendations about prevention, diagnostic and therapeutic options to patients based on available scientific evidence.
  2. Apply the principles of evidence-based medicine in making recommendations to patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
  3. Describe important information from recently published literature and professional society guidelines pertaining to patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

Registration

This course will focus on the latest diagnostic and therapeutic issues in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and will be a thorough review for those taking the ABIM Board Certification exam in November. Registrants will have access to on-demand pre-recorded lectures designed as digestible 20 minute review of specific topics in gastroenterology and hepatology. In addition, four virtual Q&A webinar sessions with expert faculty will be held for attendees to join and participate. Pre-recorded video lectures will be available in September. The Q&A Webinar Dates are Mondays from 6pm - 7pm ET:

September 13 - Esophagus, Stomach and Duodenum

September 20 - Pancreas and Biliary Tract

September 27 - Small Bowel and Colon

October 4 - Liver Diseases

Physicians $300

Nurse/Allied Health Professionals $175

Fellows, Residents $50

Cancellation Policy
All refund and cancellation requests must be emailed to the CME office at [email protected] by September 6, 2021. Cancellations after this date are not eligible for a refund. An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted from your refund. No refunds will be issued for registration fees that are equal to or less than $50.


Accreditation

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai designates this internet live course for a maximum of 18.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 18.0 MOC points and Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
