Course Overview
This is a one-day course that will provide the practicing clinician, both generalists and allergists, with a comprehensive program on the diagnosis and management of food allergies. Through didactic lectures and interactive workshops, participants will learn the scientific advances that support current clinical practice guidelines for food allergy.


Objectives
  1. Recognize indications and select appropriate tests to diagnose food allergy
  2. Identify risk factors for anaphylaxis and counsel families on management of allergic reactions
  3. Appreciate nutritional impacts of food allergy and provide families with dietary guidance to ensure optimal growth and development
  4. Evaluate potential treatments for food allergy that are currently under investigation
  5. Discuss the diagnosis and management of non-IgE mediated food allergies
