Course Overview
'The Top Ten Topics in Clinical Cardiology' course has been designed with the purpose of keeping healthcare professionals up-to-date with the latest advancements in diagnosing, managing, and treating heart disease. The primary goal is to enhance the overall care and prognosis of patients suffering from various cardiovascular conditions. This live and in-person comprehensive medical education conference will deliver the most recent updates on diagnostic and treatment strategies for coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, mitral valve regurgitation, aortic stenosis, and co-morbid cardiometabolic diseases.


Objectives
  1. • Incorporate the latest developments within interventional cardiology and assess their effects on improving interventional outcomes and overall patient care.
  2. • Evaluate and differentiate between the newest innovative approaches in the treatment of heart failure to optimize patient management and care.
  3. • Identify the recent transcatheter mitral valve therapies with special focus on MitraClip and TAVR procedures, aiming to enhance patient outcomes.
  4. • Analyze the role of noninvasive testing in diagnosing coronary artery disease (CAD) and accurately provide prognostic information to guide patient treatment and care.
  5. • Apply evidence-based strategies for the prevention and management of hypertension to optimize blood pressure control and reduce cardiovascular risks in patients.
  6. • Assess the latest advancements in cardiac imaging technologies and their role in aiding accurate diagnoses and treatment planning for various cardiovascular conditions.

Accreditation
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credits
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (6.50 hours)
