Course Overview
During this meeting, expert Mount Sinai faculty will discuss the approach to asymptomatic carotid disease and its treatment, the current role of left-atrial appendage occlusion in prevention of stroke, as well as integrating the SGLT2i, GLP1-RA, and mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists for renal and cardiac protection.

Objectives
  1. Identify those patients with asymptomatic carotid disease in whom revascularization is warranted and be able to advise them with regard to appropriate revascularization procedure.
  2. Identify those CKD patient likely to benefit from reno-protective agents and be better able to institute them in a guidelines-based manner.
  3. Understand the role of left atrial occluder devices in the management of patients with atrial fibrillation and to identify those likely to benefit.
