Course Overview
The purpose of this meeting to be provide updates on the dynamic field of pelvic floor disorders. We will learn the difficulties associated with innovations in urogynecologic and gynecologic surgery as well as colorectal surgery and understand the most important innovations currently underway. The meeting will update us on pelvic floor disorders, discuss new technology for fecal incontinence and help physicians and healthcare professionals make decisions on which treatment is best for fecal incontinence. We will also dive into new ways for imaging of the pelvic floor and various new technology to improve surgical success.

Objectives
  1. Review all new technologies and surgeries in urolgynecology, gynecology and colorectal surgery
  2. Discuss fecal incontinence and urinary incontinence as well as surgical and non-surgical options
  3. Identify various radiologic and testing for pelvic floor disorders.
  4. Discuss new technologies that allow assistance in surgeries being done in remote countries. Also alternatives to mesh for the treatment of urinary incontinence.

Accreditation
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
