Course Overview
This is a one day conference on home dialysis sponsored by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Practitioners, researchers, clinician-scientists and RNs who are experts in the field of kidney disease will discuss current developments in the field of Peritoneal Dialysis and related dialysis modalities. There will be a variety of topics, including roundtable discussion with patients on increasing the utilization and retention of home dialysis.

Objectives
  1. Summarize the practices in peritoneal dialysis in the UK and explore what we can learn from it in the USA.
  2. Review the management of diabetes in patients on peritoneal dialysis.
  3. Discuss the strategies to improve the outreach of dialysis modalities education in CKD population.
  4. Discuss the importance and role of resilience in managing chronic dialysis.
  5. Examine and discuss the current administrative barriers to growing PD.

Cancellation Policy

An administrative fee of $50 will be deducted from your refund. No refunds will be issued for registration fees that are equal to or less than $50.



Accreditation
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Registered Nurses and Dialysis Technicians can receive 6.0 CEU credits (contact hours) from National Association of Nephrology Technicians/Technologists (NANT).

NANT is an authorized provider of continuing education credits that may be used for certification application and recertification by BONENT, NNCC and NNCO certification programs.
