Course Overview
This one-day symposium, led by the Mount Sinai Institute for Genomic Health, aims to bring together leading experts and scholars in the field of genomic medicine to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and inspire our community and is designed to educate and empower Mount Sinai physicians and other medical professionals to gain knowledge of how genomics will increasingly influence decisions around patient care. It is geared toward a broad clinical audience of general practitioners and non-genetics specialists.

Objectives
  1. Describe different types of genomic tests available and how to use them appropriately in clinical care.
  2. Interpret genomic test results and use them to inform the prevention, diagnosis, and management of common conditions.
  3. Explain to patients the role of genomic screening in preventive health, and guide patients to make decisions regarding genomic tests.
