INNOVATIONS IN IMAGING - Impact On Outcomes In Congenital Heart Disease: Fetus through Adult

This CME activity will focus on review of current knowledge ,guidelines and advances in multimodality imaging that will impact early detection and management of congenital heart disease in fetus, child and adult. Multimodality imaging applications, utilization and yield for specific congenital heart diseases will be covered via lectures, case presentations, interactive panel discussions and hands on work shops.

1. Identify current barriers in diagnosis and planning postnatal management for prenatal detection of congenital heart defects
2. Describe recent Innovations in understanding placental contribution to fetal cardiovascular outcomes.
3. Describe Innovations in advanced and multimodality imaging applications of three Dimensional echocardiography, rotational angiography and virtual imaging and fusion imaging allows better understanding of what kind of intervention needs to be performed and also helps in education and teaching and better understanding of complex morphology
4. Describe use of maternal hyperoxygenation in diagnosis and treatment of prenatal cardiovascular disease is not well understood and applied.Application of these innovative methods can improve perinatal management following fetal diagnosis of congenital heart disease and help in counselling the parents regarding outcomes
