Course Overview
This program is designed to provide a targeted overview of the initial triage and management of the injured patient for physicians and other allied health professionals involved in the care of the trauma patient.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Review management of the injured patient
  2. Recognize injury patterns suggestive of abuse and identify useful interventions for survivors of abuse
  3. Describe the evolution of fluid resuscitation in trauma patients and current best practices
  4. List strategies for protecting kids from traumatic injury
  5. Define strategies for controlling the innate chaos of the trauma bay
