This is a CME series for the pediatric department at the BronxCare Health System.

1. 1) Understand the challenges patients and families face when communicating with providers throughout a hospitalization
2. 2) Understand the role that health literacy plays in the events leading up to a pediatric hospitalization, during a hospital admission, and after discharge
3. 3) Identify opportunities for improvement in communication with patients and families through use of health literacy-informed communication strategies
