Course Overview
We are live and in-person! Hospitalists stepped up and helped lead their hospitals through the pandemic and now we can re-focus on the core conditions in of Hospital Medicine. We have dedicated our course to emphasize the common and serious conditions you treat on a daily basis: New Approaches to Atrial Fibrillation, DM, AKI, Anticoagulation, Pain, Palliative Care, and more!  

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. Provide optimal glycemic control for patients admitted with diabetes
  2. Incorporate the up-to-date recommendations from major clinical guidelines, including AHA and IDSA.
  3. Choose appropriate oxygen support for patients with acute respiratory failure, including HFNC, BiPap, or mechanical ventilation
  4. Determine the optimal approach for patients on anticoagulants or anti-platelet agents undergoing surgery
  5. Manage common symptoms seen at the end of life, including delirium, pain, and nausea
