Course Overview
There has been a revolution in the landscape of therapies for liver cancer, both in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). Targeted physicians are not aware of the impact of new therapies in HCC and CCA in the clinical practice. There is a need to educated clinicians on the landcape of therapies available and the sequencing to be used. In addition, they should be educated on the cutting-edge research in liver cancer, particularly regarding new insights in the pathogenesis of the disease and new molecular and immune therapies. The program aims to both increase the knowledge and competence of the attendees along with improving the scientific insight on the understanding of the molecular basis of these lethal diseases based on recent discoveries. The meeting is intended to provide a summary of advances in science and clinical management of liver cancer, including the research conducted in Mount Sinai.

Objectives
  1. Review the molecular pathogenesis and target for therapies in HCC and CCA.
  2. Review the current role of surgical and loco-regional treatments for liver cancer.
  3. Critical analysis of molecular and immunotherapies in the management of advanced HCC
  4. Assess cutting edge science conducted at the Mt Sinai Liver Cancer Program-2022
