Course Overview
This three –day symposium is specifically designed to equally update the practicing dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons and other healthcare professionals on the latest advances in Medical and Surgical Dermatology. The goal is to present information on the latest dermatological developments in the diagnosis of skin diseases and new therapies which are introduced every year. This symposium is comprised of lectures, live patient demonstration, and small group workshops to maximize interaction and learning

Objectives
  1. Identify and analyze new and important studies in medical, surgical/cosmetic dermatology, and dermatopathology.
  2. Apply the most current research on the diagnosis and treatment of medical dermatological conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema, actinic keratosis, rosacea, and skin cancer.
  3. Compare and contrast new surgical techniques including surgical closures and cosmetic procedures and apply them to their practice.
  4. Identify new cosmetic agents, including fillers and neurotoxins, and learn injection techniques that can improve patient safety and outcomes.
  5. Improve skills by observing live patient demonstrations using approved devices for the treatment of photodamage and age-related skin changes.
  6. Recognize, manage and appropriately treat unusual skin conditions, including the use of new relevant injectable and IV infusion treatment.
  7. Assess the various new modalities for evaluating and treating melanoma.
  8. Demonstrate noninvasive options for fat augmentation via proper dispensing/injecting of the deoxycholic acid.
