Course Overview
The event will consist of 3 presentations about cardiovascular topics pertinent to primary care physicians and will include a question and answer session after each.

Presentations:
1. An approach to the diagnosis and management of the swollen leg for the primary care physician
2. Preventing the development of heart failure in patients at risk: what the primary care provider needs to know
3. Renal denervation: a new tool in the armamentarium for treating resistant hypertension

Objectives
  1. Describe an approach to the diagnosis of the various causes of leg swelling including appropriate imaging and consult
  2. Discuss the role of renal denervation in the management of refractory hypertension and to be able to offer that option to appropriate patients
  3. Identify an approach to the patient at risk for developing heart failure and understand measures that can be taken to mitigate those risks
