ISMMS GME Educational Conference

The ISMMS GME Educational Conference is a faculty development retreat for faculty in GME Training Programs across the Mount Sinai GME Consortium. The Conference will include a key-note presentation, along with focused interactive workshops on topics derived from national priorities for GME education as set by the ACGME.

1. Incorporate effective communication skills to deliver feedback to physicians in training. Provide effective feedback to physicians in training. Discuss strategies to give feedback in daily encounters
2. Describe effective strategies to provide improved teaching in the clinical areas in which I work with physician trainees. Apply tools for more effective clinical teaching to one’s own practice.
3. Describe the triggers and signs of burnout in the clinical learning environment. Identify methods for appropriately addressing and monitoring burnout and strategies and tools for improved self-care and wellness.

Registration is complimentary for faculty, fellows and residents.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Nursing Credit
The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) will accept 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ as equal to 1.0 ANCC contact hour. Nurses should inquire with their specialty organizations and professional institutions as to their acceptance of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.


Verification of Attendance
Verification of attendance will be provided to all professionals.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (4.50 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (4.50 hours)

It is the policy of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to ensure objectivity, balance, independence, transparency, and scientific rigor in all CME-provided educational activities. All faculty participating in the planning or implementation of a provided activity are expected to disclose to the audience any relevant financial relationships and to assist in resolving any conflict of interest that may arise from the relationship. Presenters must also make a meaningful disclosure to the audience of their discussions of unlabeled or unapproved drugs or devices. This information will be available as part of the course material.

Mitigation of Relevant Financial Relationships

Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai adheres to the ACCME’s Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. Any individuals in a position to control the content of a CE activity, including faculty, planners, reviewers or others are required to disclose all relevant financial relationships with ineligible entities (commercial interests). All relevant conflicts of interest have been mitigated prior to the commencement of the activity.
