Dr. Rughwani was trained in the United Kingdom where she went to medical school and also pursued a residency in Family Practice. She moved to the United States and came to Mount Sinai where she pursued a fellowship in Geriatrics followed by her faculty appointment as Assistant Professor at the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine.
She spends most of her time in the Martha Stewart for Living outpatient practice and plays an active role teaching medical students both in the practice and in the Art and Science of Medicine course for 2nd year students, residents and fellows.
