Dr. Khorasani is the Chief of the Division of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a multi-board certified, fellowship-trained skin cancer and cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Khorasani is the Program Director of the Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology fellowship as well as the Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery fellowship program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.


Dr. Khorasani is one of the leading dermatologic and cosmetic surgeons in New York City. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery) and American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.


Dr. Khorasani is an expert in Mohs micrographic surgery and post-Mohs reconstructive surgery. As one of the co-founders of the Tisch Cancer Institute’s Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center, Dr. Khorasani is actively involved with clinical trials and the advancement of skin cancer therapy.


As a fellowship-trained cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Khorasani specializes in aesthetic surgery including: eyelid lifts, non-invasive face and neck lifts, laser skin resurfacing, scar revisions, liposuction, fat injections, non-invasive body contouring, and injectable treatments.


As the Director of the Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology fellowship and the Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery fellowship programs, Dr. Khorasani is heavily involved in teaching surgical and cosmetic procedures to residents and fellows from all over the world.


Dr. Khorasani is the Chair of the Mount Sinai Spring Symposium “Advances in Facial Reconstruction & Cosmetic Surgery,” a national, multi-specialty reconstructive and cosmetic cadaver workshop. More information can be found at www.CosmeticCadaverWorkshop.com.


Dr. Khorasani has been featured in articles in the New York Times, Daily News, CBS News, and Fox News. He has appeared on TV shows such as The Doctors, Good Morning America, NBC News, ABC News and New Yorks Channel One.


Dr. Khorasani graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in Physiological Sciences and graduated in the top 5% with highest distinction from the University of Southern California medical

school. Following graduation, Dr. Khorasani completed his internship in General Surgery at the USC-LA County Hospital, gaining extensive exposure to trauma and reconstructive surgery. He then completed a research fellowship in Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California where he studied minimal scar wound repair. He is currently conducting two clinical trials addressing improved scarring after surgery.


Dr. Khorasani served as chief resident and completed his dermatology residency at NYMC Metropolitan Hospital and Montefiore North in New York City. After his residency, Dr. Khorasani completed a fellowship in Procedural Dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery at The Mount Sinai Medical Center. During this time, he received additional training in skin cancer surgery, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic surgery.
